How to Increase Traffic at Your Website – Become a Traffic Magnet

How to increase traffic at your website is so often asked I thought it imperative to write this blog to help you become a traffic magnet.

Increasing your online presence is vital to your success in business so whatever you are doing online, you need to tell the world about it.

Sometimes easier said than done but after reading through this post, I hope to share some gold nuggets to help you gain momentum and growth with loads more traffic so let’s go.

How to Increase Traffic at your Website

Social Media

Often people think it’s just a matter of sharing your URL from every post you write- Wrong!! This can be annoying and can also feel spammy so here is my 1st piece of advice when it comes to Social Media platforms.

1st, create a Business Page on Facebook, Pinterest, Linkedin, Instagram, and Twitter and also join Quora.

Quora is not a social media platform however if you go join it, there are opportunities to answers loads of questions relating to your niche and this, in turn, brings more traffic at your website.

Make sure you have every new business page branded the same as in your name, logo, tag line, and anything else relevant to your branding. Branding is essential.

Whenever you add a post to these places, be sure to write a small engaging piece of content to pull your audience in, for example:

“Have you ever struggled to earn income online?” Check out this post on How to become a successful online marketer without it costing you your pay packet.

Then add your post on ” How to create a passive income online”

This is just an example and it will give you an idea of what to do. Twitter likes it short and sweet, Instagram loves photos then #tags and a wee bit of info plus your link.

Also, another great idea is to go to Canva and create infographics, blog banners, and loads more with Canva to use to place on Social Media and if you do some great work on Canva you will encourage more people to click on your attractive and engaging creations which brings more traffic.

The graphic above was created with Canva and the more you make the better you get and you will be amazed at what you can create to be more engaging. People love visuals and this is attraction marketing.

Whenever you add a link be sure to give your readers something engaging- a call to action statement without sounding pushy or spammy and this will help generate organic traffic.

Having excellent Keyword-rich content is another way to increase traffic to your website and I use a program called Jaaxy and it is brilliant.

Jaaxy is a great program and has everything you need to find great keywords to add to your blog title and within your content.

Always remember not to stuff your content with keywords as Google, Bing and Yahoo do not like stuffing, and what I mean by this is.

Only put keywords in when it is relevant and try to only have keywords in the 1st, 3rd and final paragraph of what you are writing and always make sure your use of keywords is relative to your article and not just put in there to gain visitors, as this will work against you and people, will pick up on the insincerity of what you are doing.

Always write from the heart, keeping it honest and engaging, and always add images relevant to your post.

Meta tags and description

Every time you write a blog/post always add meta tags and a short description to your post and also keywords in the keyword box as when Google, Bing, and Yahoo are crawling to find you, this will help a lot.

If you need training for this please click here if you use WordPress to build your website.

The platform I am a member of uses WordPress and it has a great training program within the platform for members to learn everything you need to become a successful Online Entrepreneur.

60 letters in the meta tag including your keyword title

150 in the description and as many keywords as you feel needed for each post.

Google Search Console

Google Search Console

Make sure you have installed all in one SEO and also connect your site to Google analytics and then go to the search console and verify your site.

Adding the code to the All in one SEO under Google verification and Bing Verification and also Pinterest. You can claim your website through Pinterest and verify as well.

Once you have done this, submit a sitemap, and after you have published every post go to the Google search console and do a URL Inspection and ask for your post to be indexed as this helps speed up the process of getting you noticed by the search engines and this, in turn, helps you increase traffic at your website.

Another excellent way on how to increase traffic on your website is to start your own YouTube channel and upload helpful videos relating to your niche.

I use a program called Screencast o Matic and it is so easy to use and does a great job. It is very reasonably priced and you should get started with your own channel to create a following and the more people who subscribe to your channel, the more traffic is linked back to your business online so go try it out.

I was very shy when I 1st started doing videos and I am so glad you are able to have the camcorder with you down on the right-hand corner and your information you are sharing on the main screen as this made it easier to produce videos. I am still a novice with this but learning from the experts taught me this is vital to your traffic growth and business growth so please do try this service as the more you offer people, the larger your business grows, and the more trust you get from visitors as they are relating to a real person.

Screencast o Matic is way cheaper than loads of other video creating programs and it really does a good job. I am enjoying the challenge and overcoming my fear of being on camera and it’s working and more traffic is coming to my site through this media so go for it.

  1. Learning from an expert makes one become an expert really. That is really true right there. And I feel the information you have given here is really good. Getting traffic on the site is not something that happens in a single day. It takes time and dedication.  Using the right like tools jaxxy to get ranked on the search engines is really important and I feel good content is paramount too. I didn’t know about using YouTube to get traffic. I guess we learn everyday then.

  2. Thank you for this article. I think you are meme at the top of about thinking is funny. Right now I’m just making my website and When the time comes I think I will start with Quora. I do not purposely stuff more keywords in there but sometimes I end up repeating some phrases and I hope that does not get construed as keyword stuffing. Thank you very much for these tips on generating traffic. I will make sure to forward this to everyone I know who will be interested.

  3. Hi, my name is Gomer, I’m a blogger from the Philippines. I’d like to thank you for the wealth of information you shared here on how to increase traffic at your website. They are the very same things that I believe working well in today’s online business if someone wants more traffic, leads and sales. There’s just one thing that I’d to clarify by asking you a question. Do we really need to mind putting up meta tags? Or, can we do away without them? I thought our content will be automatically picked up by the search engines’ bots with or without those meta tags.
